September 3, 2026 I Got Tired of Switching Between 5 Different Windows Utilities

I tracked my workflow for a week and discovered I was making 5-7 app switches for simple tasks—taking a screenshot, running OCR, translating text, copying to clipboard. That's 15 steps, 4 apps, ~45 seconds per iteration, done 25+ times per day.

So I built yyzTools to fuse everything into one workflow: screenshot → OCR → translate → clipboard, all in one window. That cut it to 5 steps, ~8 seconds per iteration. The time savings (~2 hours/day) come from eliminating context switching, not from faster individual tools.

Key insight: Integration beats feature count. The power isn't 40+ tools—it's how they flow together.

The context-switching insight is stronger than the individual features. Have users actually adopted the full screenshot → OCR → translate flow, or do they still jump out to other tools for parts of it?
