Today, I'm officially bringing SouqFriday to the Indie Hackers community. Over the past 6 years, I’ve built this AI-driven classifieds platform as a solo developer, focusing entirely on product-market fit and organic growth across the GCC and broader MENA region.

The Background For the past six years, I’ve been building SouqFriday from the ground up as a solo founder and full-stack developer. My vision was to unify the fragmented classifieds and recruitment markets across Arabic-speaking countries. Today, the platform operates on a completely custom architecture, growing entirely organically without a single dollar spent on paid marketing.

The Product & Features SouqFriday is an AI-driven digital marketplace handling real estate, vehicles, goods, and jobs. To eliminate cross-border friction, I engineered several proprietary features:

  • AI-powered ad copywriting engines that help users generate optimized listings instantly.

  • A real-time multimedia chat system supporting voice notes and file attachments.

  • Dedicated B2B tools, including verified corporate badges and an integrated recruitment portal.

The Ask: Why I'm Exiting I have successfully achieved product-market fit and built a highly defensible technical asset. However, scaling to dominate the entire MENA region now requires a dedicated marketing team and operational capital. I am seeking a strategic acquisition to pass the platform to an entity equipped to activate its full monetization potential.

Rather than burning capital on paid acquisition, SouqFriday captures high-intent transactional traffic directly through deep localization and programmatic SEO across the MENA and GCC regions. For an acquirer, this means they aren't just buying an existing user base or mobile installs—they are acquiring a zero-ops, self-moderating classifieds engine engineered for organic discoverability, high session retention, and a near-zero customer acquisition cost (CAC).
