November 20, 2025 I built a tiny “remove audio from video” tool that runs in your browser

Hey IH 👋

I’ve just shipped another small utility in the same spirit as my background remover, this time for video.

It’s called Remove Audiohttps://remove-audio.com

I kept running into the same annoying problem: I’d record a quick clip for B-roll, reels, or a demo, and then I’d have to open a full video editor just to mute it. Online tools weren’t much better either: tons of ads, weird watermarks, or they upload everything to a random server first.

So I built a tool that does exactly one thing:

You drop a video in, it strips the audio track, and you download a silent version a few seconds later. No account, no watermark, no timeline, nothing fancy. Just “I don’t want sound on this” → done.

It’s free and meant for creators, small sellers, indie hackers and anyone making quick content who doesn’t want to fire up Premiere or DaVinci for a 10-second task.

If you try it, I’d love to hear:

  • does it feel fast enough on your machine?

  • is anything in the flow confusing (adding a second video, understanding when it’s finished, etc.)?

  • what’s the one thing you’d add next: trimming, volume control, batch mode?

And if you know a YouTuber, TikToker, or online seller who is constantly fiddling with clips, feel free to send it their way – that kind of word of mouth helps a lot. 🙏
