I've always loved PDF tools. iLovePDF especially, DocFly too. But there was one thing about using most pdf tools that never sat right with me: I genuinely didn't know where my files went once I uploaded them and finished processing them. Sometimes I'd use a scan tool once, forget about it, then months later open some old app and find sensitive documents just sitting there, stuff I'd uploaded once and never thought about again.

That question stuck with me, so I built PDFHaul. Every file auto-deletes after two hours, no exceptions, no account required. That was the whole starting point.

It's grown a lot since then. PDFHaul now has 25+ tools, including genuinely competitive table extraction (pulling structured tables out of PDFs without wrecking the formatting, which most free tools still get wrong), an MCP server so AI agents can call PDF operations directly, and a free fillable form creator. There's a dashboard so you can see what you've actually done, timestamps on every file so you know exactly when it's getting deleted instead of just trusting a vague promise, and Workflows so you can chain multiple tools together instead of uploading the same file five separate times.

I'm a solo founder building this alongside a full-time job, so progress is steady rather than fast, but the two-hour deletion thing has never moved, that's the one part of this I'll never compromise on.
