GoNorth
X on your terms
I didn’t start GoNorth to flip a SaaS. I started it because I was the customer.
I run several X accounts. My old setup was the usual mess: an idea tool, ChatGPT or similar, Typefully/Buffer-class scheduling, manual reply hunting, and a notes app catching whatever fell through. Fine for a week. Miserable as a system.
What I wanted:
- Content sourced overnight from topics I care about
- Drafts that sound like me (then scrubbed for AI tells)
- A queue where I approve every post and reply
- Multi-account isolation so voices don’t bleed
- Desktop, not another browser tab I ignore on my phone
What I didn’t want: autopilot that posts while I’m asleep and hopes the ban hammer misses. But auto content generation in my voice that I then approve.
So GoNorth is a Windows desktop app with human-in-the-loop as the core loop — approve / edit / reject / regenerate — not a toggle buried in settings. BYOK for AI (Groq, Claude, Grok). Search providers preconfigured on free tiers.
Honest status: commercial access waits on X API approval. Founding is live anyway — $25/mo or $250/yr, refund until access opens. Zero founding members sold so far.

If you treat X as distribution and hate the tool pile, I’d love a brutal take on what’s missing.
About
I’ve been running multiple X accounts the hard way: content ideas, AI drafts, a scheduler, reply hunting, and a notes app in the middle. There has to be a better way while still keeping a human in the loop.
