A few months ago I caught myself, again, in the middle of the night, opening five different websites just to figure out one number — whether I could afford something, what my real take-home pay was, whether a home project was actually doable.

Every site was slow. Every site wanted my email. Every site felt like it was built to sell me something, not to help me.

And somewhere in that frustration, a quieter thought showed up: someone should just make this simple.

It took me a while to admit that someone could be me.

I'm not a designer. My English isn't perfect. I built most of this alone, late at night, doubting whether anyone would ever care. There were days I'd ship a calculator and immediately think, "why did I bother? There are already hundreds of these online."

But I kept going, because underneath the doubt there was a feeling I couldn't shake: the little numbers matter. A mortgage payment isn't just math — it's whether a family feels safe. A BMI number isn't just a score — it's someone quietly worried about their health. A concrete estimate isn't just cubic yards — it's someone trying to fix their home without going broke.

So I made something that gives people an answer in a few seconds, with no signup, no clutter, no judgment. And later I added something I genuinely love: a button that explains the result in plain English, because not everyone knows what a ratio or a percentage is supposed to mean.

It's not a big company. It's not impressive tech. It's just a quiet attempt to make the internet a little less exhausting for the person who's awake late, doing the math of their own life.

I don't know if it'll grow. The numbers are still tiny, and honestly, some days that stings.

But if even one person gets an answer a little faster and feels a little less alone in their decision, then the late nights were worth it.

I'll keep building. One calculator at a time.
