I've spent the last few years working with nonprofits, afterschool programs, summer camps, and churches. Almost all of them tracked attendance the same way, a paper sign-in sheet on a clipboard.

It mostly works, until it doesn't: sheets go missing right before a grant report is due, no one can pull a fast headcount when a funder or parent asks, and reconstructing who showed up for a specific session means flipping through a binder.

So I built AttendItai, attendees check in with a unique QR/barcode, and you get clean records, live headcounts, and reports you can actually hand to a funder or use for compliance.

You’ve seen the paper workflow fail firsthand, but getting an organization to replace something familiar is a different test.
From the nonprofits, camps, or schools you’ve spoken with so far, what have you learned about what actually makes the attendance problem important enough for them to change how they already work?

  Every organisation that tracks attendance is tracking it for a reason, and the reason is never the attendance itself. A nonprofit doesn't want records. It wants its grant funding to survive an audit. The day a paper sign-in sheet starts putting that funding at risk, switching stops being a chore and becomes urgent. Camps are the same story with a different stake. Dismissal is the pressure point: a child handed to the wrong adult is a safety incident, not an admin error. A tracker that timestamps every check-in and check-out, and tells staff exactly who is authorised to collect each child, closes that gap. So the sale is rarely about replacing what they use today. It's about the outcome that thing is holding up. Asking how a simple attendance tracker could possibly matter to these organisations is a question you only ask before you've felt the problem. A good share of the market sits there, and we do sell to them. But the pipeline is built around organisations that already feel it and are out looking for a fix.
