What didn't Stripe Atlas include?

Like lots of folks here, I'm on the cusp of forming a Delaware C Corp. Basic context: US Citizen, living in New York, operating out of New York City, probably forming a company in Delaware.

Stripe Atlas seems like the default option, but I have a competing offer from a small law firm (with good references) for $2.2k flat fee + $700 in filing fees. The main thing, as far as I can tell, is that they'd handle registering the corporation with New York, as well. And some things like indemnification paperwork.

I'm also looking at Clerky, which does an $800 all-in fee that includes filing for operating in a particular state. It seems odd that Stripe Atlas doesn't (appear to) handle that piece.

Out of the three - Clerky vs Stripe vs a firm, it seems like Clerky might be the best middle road? Has anyone does Atlas and can comment on how much additional work was required to handle operating in a particular state?
