Validating superhuman for notes idea (alpha app ready)

I’d like to hear your opinion about the idea I am currently validating: “Knotes - superhuman for notes”.

I am creating it to help people who communicate a lot: user support, SMM, recruiters, accounts, and sales managers.
The Knotes goal is to save time adding and accessing text notes.

The idea came from audience research that my friend made for the Clipboard History Pro extension which I’ve been working on for many years.
From this research, we found out that some users are actually using this extension for storing notes primarily, but not as a clipboard manager.

I have compiled an alpha version of the app: https://knotes.vercel.app

It currently can do two things: add text notes (with optional tags-folders) and copy & paste text in a focused window. With just keyboard shortcuts.

    Hi Denis,

I think this is a great idea. A couple of notes that came to my mind first:

    1. Please store the notes in markdown format and allow for easy exporting. I will not use a notes app that does not have a very simple and open export format/process. This would also allow me to put the notes in a cloud-synced folder and forget about it. (forgive me if this is already the case).
    2. Focus on making the search amazing. If I could punch the search keyboard shortcut (ideally from anywhere in the OS, which appears to be already done) and instantly find what I was looking for, I'd use the product until I died.
    3. I worry organization by tag is too limiting. I am not sure I have a solution, beyond the obvious, folder/project organization, perhaps as an option. 10k notes after a couple years would lead to tag hell.

Overall, congrats on a polished and promising app! I wish you the best.

Thanks for the feedback. These ideas are great! I agree with you, it is all about small details and polished behavior.

Btw, the app has quick access to search: just bring it in with Cmd(Ctlr)+Shift+L and start pressing letters on your keyboard.

How are the notes stored at the moment? Keep up the good work!

Thanks! It is in Cloud Firestore (by Firebase). So the data will be in sync between computers.
