Supplier/Importer Database WebApp - Landing Page Feedback 🚢

Hey Everyone! 🙋‍♂️

Regular guy here with no coding background decided to launch an WebApp that tracks all sea imports coming into the US from around the world.

The goal is for anyone to be able to search our dashboard and find actual suppliers, importers, products, manufacturers and pretty much any data point related to the Bill of Lading from any shipment.

The project is still in its infancy and I'm working on a MVP but after reading so much about the importance of landing pages, I decided to dive in before its too late!

Feel free to ask any questions as well.

Thanks in advance! 👍

I like how you have built it. But, who is your target market?

Thanks for the feedback! I have been grappling with that question because the data is useful to so many industries so I kept the landing page somewhat general.

I think I have narrowed it down to the following:

      1. Current business owners with physical products (to find new suppliers, search competitors, launch new product lines, validate vendors)
      2. Entrepreneurs who want to launch their own products (replicate existing logistic channels, find opportunities, contact suppliers, etc)
      3. Trade Industry (Third Party Logistics - 3PL, Distributors, Wholesalers, etc).
      4. Maybe Amazon FBA vendors (amazon FBA is huge and there is a lot of demand for supplier/importer/product research data)

I'm still working on the idea of who to target directly.

      Thanks!

      Alex

Please don't run into the issue that most founders deal with. Focus on 1 and only 1 niche area to start with and then expand from there.

e.g. if you choose trade, then focus on all the players in trade and interview them and learn from them. Please be in love with the problem you are trying to solve and NOT your solution.
