What do you think about social proof tools such as Nudgify or ProveSource? I spent some time on IndieHackers and I don't remember seeing a website using this kind of social proof tool.
Why? Is it too intrusive maybe?
Hi Victor, I'm the co-founder of ProveSource.
I think most of IH websites won't use this because their traction/traffic is low , and no one want's to show "2 people visited our website in the last 5 days".
On the other hand, more than 20K websites use ProveSource to show off their conversions, sales and demand boosting trust.
ProveSource is not a magic, it wouldn't work for all kinds of websites, but when you have some traffic and things to show off, it might work great.
That's why we have created PurpleAds btw, to help small websites get more traffic by advertising their service or product on our network of websites (publishers)
