Recruiting Your Expertise!

Hey Indie Hackers!

I am recruiting your expertise on this. I just created a mockup landing page (it's not published yet).

I have already started building the team and getting the marketing prepared for this business.

I would like your feedback on the design and concept as a whole. Is this a viable business for the SaaS market? I think no better than to ask a bunch of SaaS Indie Hackers.

I have heard time and time again, many SaaS founders that are technical do not like the sales side of the business, but obviously need it. Without sales, there is no business.

Here is my temporary feedback link: https://sh.yoursitereview.com/icAmBOo

Thank you all in advance!

    Your intro is great.
Second line is not so great. What if I don't have leads?

    ---

"Our story, our vision, our technology"

    • not great.
    • doesn't add anything

Get some testimonials. I want to know other people used this service and it worked well.
    Make some case studies
what are the results you've gotten?

Before building anything, have case studies.
    Know it's viable.

    ---

The problem with most SaaS founders that would want this service is that they don't have any of the documentation ready. They don't have case studies. They don't have the stuff ready to sell it.

So you need to prepare all of that stuff first, and then start doing lead gen, and then start doing sales.

There are very few people who have all their sales stuff lined up but just need to reach out to leads that they already have.

    ---

Focus on the psychographics of your target --

i.e. "After we have determined the proper sales strategy to ignite the growth of your SaaS product, we will assemble the perfect sales team from our battle-chest of trained sales ninjas that will be dedicated solely to your business."

I don't want someone from a battle-chest, or a "sales ninja". I want someone who will get me results. Straight forward. What are the results I will get.

    This could just be

"we put together the perfect team for your specific needs"

Your customer has built something, and it isn't selling. That's their position. They know this. You need to tell them why you're the right solution for them, and this is mostly through proof.

    ---

Your target market is price sensitive. You need to have prices up to do sales, IMO.

I appreciate the detail. I agree with all of your points.

My thought for pricing was going to be an on-boarding/setup charge and then commission basis.

      What are your thoughts?

      1. 1

Still better to be up front about it, IMO. Especially early on.

Good idea is to have your price up on the landing page and to offer early customers a discount when you reach out via cold email.

This can add a bit of urgency (limited time offer) while not making your service seem too cheap.
