No code transactional emails?
I'm in the early stages of planning out a no code way to handle transactional emails for my project. Currently, my number one prospect is to use Airtable and Mailgun with Zapier but I'd be lying if I said I know what I'm doing.
Is anyone else handling their transactional emails this way?
My end goal is to be able to update a master database manually on my side, and have my users receive an email when their record gets updated.

It's open source and they have a hosted version. I really like the work flow builder. You can set it up do send emails, it's pretty nice.
So if you're using Zapier, they have built-in transaction emails. It's not that wonderful, but a decent way to "just get started."
If you want a real solution, and I define "real" as something that allows you to scale and grow as you site does, I like Campaign Monitor.
They are super cheap ($9/month) and integrate easily.
I use them for transactional emails, which I can then add to a subscriber list, which I can then send out automated journey (drip) emails based upon segments (where and how they signed up), etc...
