Hey guys! I have a Wordpress website and use Memberful. Users subscribe to a monthly plan on my website to get access to restricted content. I would like to leave Memberful because they keep having bugs with their payment overlay, but I am nervous about transitioning/migrating to another service (because I am not computer savvy!) Any recommendations? I'm looking for simplicity/ease-of-use. Customer chat support is important, too.

I wanted to understand how to do exactly this. So I created what you've outlined in Webflow (very nice to use!) and MemberStack (gating the Webflow content).

    I created a step-by-step walkthrough of what I did in a 10 minute video:

Let me know if it was helpful!

    UPDATE:

    Customer chat support is important

I should also add that MemberStack has a Slack channel for instant help from both of the founders + the community

Thank you for sharing this @Coffee! 😍

Haven't used it myself, but have heard good things about Memberstack (https://www.memberstack.io).

      Thanks for the reply!

One thing I was concerned about with memberstack was that it doesn't seem to have live chat support (has a community forum).

        Hi Jessica,
I would definitely recommend Memberstack. They have a Slack community that you'll get access to, which gives you live support not only from the Memberstack team but other community members as well.

I just searched their Slack for "memberful" and came across this:

To date, I've used Memberful for the last 18 months to manage subscriptions, but it is dated, buggy and doesn't integrate with Webflow. Now, my site is hosted on Webflow and uses MemberStack to manage all subscriptions and protect gated content.
I really like it so far, and I'm excited to be a MemberStack customer long into the future.

Thanks for the info! Would I have access to the Slack community before I officially migrated over to Memberstack? I ask because I'd need help with the migration process and would like some sort of live chat support.

Also- can I keep my website if I use Memberstack? I created my site on wordpress. When I go to sign-up on Memberstack, it says:
"Setup your entire site without paying a dollar."

              Great question (and feedback).

I'll change that text to say "Install Memberstack without paying a dollar." You get to use your own site.

The only issue is we don't have a formal Wordpress integration just yet. Where are you hosting your WP site?

Thank you for the reply! To answer your question, it's hosted on Dreampress.

Hi @jessiedrew, this link will get you access to our Slack group:

            https://www.memberstack.io/community

Live chat is only for paying customers at the moment, but we're in the process of reworking that.

I’ve been checking out Kajabi. It’s a little expensive but has a really professionally designed platform that’s highly customizable

I saw that one the other day, I just think it's too pricey for me right now :(

The most powerful membership script is, for me, aMember Pro.
    So many useful options...

I could maybe be of help. I've been doing membership based software all my life, and am really good at it. Check out https://apex-platform.org/

    Demo admin panel at: https://demo.envrin.com/admin/

What type of content is restricted? How are payment processoed, etc.? I might be willing to help you get setup, if you're willing to tell others about Apex. It is free software after all.

If interested, drop me an e-mail at matt.dizak@gmail.com.

    Cheers,
    Matt

Use ghost.org. They have a membership feature. It works great.

      Thanks for the reply!

I've been to their website a few times because I kept seeing good things about them. I'm just concerned because it doesn't look like they have live chat support? And I would need their help completely with the migration.

I would not recommend switching from WordPress, especially if you aren’t super computer savvy. Ghost is not the easiest to configure and maintain. There are a lot of membership plugin options on WP. I’ve had good results with MemberPress, S2Member, and RestrictContentPro but I am not sure which have a live chat option.

        Use a third party integration.
