Is Y Combinator right for bootstrappers?

Hi Elnur! We've done Startup School with Shipright.co end of 2018 and were invited for the YC interview to get into the program itself (unfortunately not accepted). Even though you're bootstrapping, I think there's a ton you can learn from the advice they give.

If you're talking just about Startup School; go for it. It does mean you're listening to advice and trying to build something that's able to grow fast – it's important to take that context into account. Not hitting your weekly growth rates (one of the most important elements) might mean you need to look for rough changes in terms of your solution (or ideas as a whole, even). When you're looking to start and run more of a small business, you might not be as strict with hitting those goals and making hard turns in finding something that grows fast. You can still use tactics and pointers they mention in that case (or use input as thought experiments to challenge yourself), just always keep in the back of your mind they give advice to build huge businesses fast.

If you're in the actual program; the latter is actually what's expected, but based on how you described your question, I think this isn't the case.
