It'd be pretty simple, I think, to write an app that manages WiFi connections. The UI and backend on iOS and Android would be pretty easy. It'd be fairly easy then to sync those credentials with a server and then onto your other laptops, iPad, etc.
Got a new laptop or phone? Immediately connect to every WiFi network you've used previously. Brought your tablet to the coffee shop for the first time? Connect automatically to the WiFi since you previously have with your phone.
I do not have time to work on this so if anyone wants to take it and run with it, go ahead.
Great idea to connect the wifi credentials sync with any digital device. I want to try it for my drawing tablet.
The idea seems nice. Unfortunately, I have no time to develop it. Moreover, I have issues with my current wi-fi router so I'm trying to get hold of a new one. I found this wireless access points review. I'm trying to figure out every aspects and details before choosing one. Thankfully, the reviews are quite detailed.
Also, I'm currently parsing Joel on Software's blog 0osts on Functional Specifications. I think there's an opportunity for a web app that asks questions and guides the user through the process of building good functional specs.
