Quick backstory: I've been into freestyle rap for a few months now, but I'm hopeless at staying on beat. Rhymes come fine when I'm writing at my desk — put on an instrumental and my brain runs half a bar late. Every practice tool I found was either a static word list or a full DAW. Nothing made me actually say the rhyme on the beat.
So over the last couple of months I built the thing I wanted: https://rhymegame.org
A ball bounces along the lyric track in time with the beat, rhyme pairs drop in bar by bar, and you say the word out loud as the ball lands. Works with any YouTube beat you paste in. There's a daily mix, and challenge links you can send a friend to dare them to beat your run.
No accounts, no paywall, no app store. It's a side project, not a startup — I just wanted it to exist.
If anyone here freestyles (or makes beats), what would make you come back the next day?
What would make a freestyler come back tomorrow—new challenges, progression, or competing with friends?
