Hi Gang, do you think there is a small business in this idea?
I'm doing some warm and cold outreach to Founders and CEOs of startups. The pitch is:
Is launching a podcast on your marketing roadmap but you need a little help?
I suspect that there might be companies who want to have a podcast but need a little help with the blocking and tackling to get it into the world (scheduling guests, pre-show research, recording remotely, post production, publishing on a regular schedule).
What do you tink?
Yep, good idea. Podcasts are a growing industry. These services currently exist FYI.
Service business?
Like you help run their podcast. Could work.
Trick would be finding businesses that need the help. Maybe get a list of businesses with podcasts and cold outreach each of them.
Something like this ?

I think this might be a wrong audience to ask if it's good or bad idea. Actually I think everyone is a wrong audience to ask that question. First paying customer will tell you the answer on that question. Everything else is guessing. Don't get me wrong, it's ok to ask in this community about your approach, but you have nothing from other people saying "this is good idea".

What I would suggest to change in your pitch is this "you need a little help". It's a bit generic and open to imagination. What they imagine the help is vs what you offer. And since you're into this, and they are not, their imagination will be really obscure. They don't even know about all the problems that waits for them.
I would put something like "Have you thought to launch a company podcast but then give up because of XYZ? We got that covered, you don't have to worry about that".
Now, I don't know what XYZ problem could be in starting a podcast, you know it better, but I hope you get my point.
It's like these two examples
If you get approached with first line, you'll say - thanks, I can do it by myself, (who is this guy anyway).
In the second example a specific pain point is targeted. You're planning to buy a car for almost a year, and not having time will probably make you hard time in the next year too. But you are now giving attention more to that offer.
I'm not questioning the viability here of the business idea to drive cars in front of everyone's house 😂
Super helpful. Appreciate the thoughtful response. Thanks for tweaking the pitch!!
It seems like a lot of podcasters outsource outreach and guest scheduling to virtual assistances and outsource post production to other freelancers. This could indicate there might be a market for a one-stop-shop. It's probably worth spending some time asking folks in your target audience to validate the idea a bit more.
thank you
