How did you meet your co-founder?
I still haven't co-founder. A co-founder should be your close friend and it would be useful to have some experience working with him. So let's share the stories about how to meet up with co-founder.
- previous Co-founder: a roommate. I have lived with him for one year in San Francisco. But I have never worked with him before. We ended our cooperation within 3 months.
I hired him as a contractor to work on a project remotely, and after 6 months of working together, we talked about becoming co-founders on the project. Going well so far :). We signed the paperwork all without meeting and just a series of video chats.
Sounds nice. I sometimes hire a contractor for my client works as a freelancer. It's a good opportunity to find the next Co-founder also!

As most of us are pretty familiar with working remotely, wouldn't it make sense to have some kind of job board, where you can actively search for your cofounder? I have something like https://remoteok.io in mind, but only with listings for co-founders...

I don't think that would work for me. Somehow I would never start a business or project with someone I don't know that well.
I'd rather go to IRL meetings, trade shows or ask friends/family.

I met my cofounder at my previous job. Then we got married. Then we cofounded Discosloth. It probably doesn't work for everyone but, now I get to tell everyone I'm married to my job.

My co-founder and I for CryptoTrader.Tax were roomates for 2 years in college! We started working with our third co-founder after meeting on a site called GitHustle about a year ago!
