Have you sold your bootstrapped startup?

If yes, how did you go about selling it? What metrics did you provide to the acquirer? How did you find the acquirer?

Or if you haven't sold but have been approached, how did the bidder find out about you?

I haven't sold my bootstrapped startup but there are many people here who have done so. Some sold on @MicroAcquire, and tiny acquisitions and a whole lot of other platforms that offer similar services.

Are you in the process of trying to sell some projects or has someone approached you to sell? The process can be exciting, but no reason to put the cart before the horse. Basically, focus on the product and make sure it is in a sellable state before starting the search process for a buyer. Can't sell a car if it's not ready to drive.
