Custom Project Management Solution -- Feedback / Requests?e

Hey folks,

I'm creator of an open source software platform called Apex over at https://apexpl.io/. Don't worry mods, not trying to advertise, just trying to put some context onto this message.

Starting in a couple days will begin working on a project management solution I'be been tapped for by a client / partner of mine. This will be completely open source software, and I'm just here to help, as that's the whole point of starting an open source software initiative. Current specs I have are as follows:

• Admin creates users, or optionally users can register start as pending and be approved by admin.
• Multiple departments / teams, users can be assigned to one or more.
• Define roles on a per-user, per-team basis (can read, write, reply, create project, create issue, close issue, etc.).
• Create and manage projects, assign users to an entire project, each product contains multiple issues / documentation / communication threads.
• Issues contain:
  • Title and description
  • Basics (who opened it, time opened, optional ETA, deadline, etc.)
  • Users who are assigned to issue.
  • Type of issue (admin defineable -- eg. procurement, contract negotiation, software development, hiring / lay offs, marketing, government regulations, etc.).
  • Status / Phase of issue (admin defineable -- open, planning, design, in transit, development, testing, awaiting confirmation, complete, etc.)
  • Priority (low, medium, high, urgent, etc.)
  • Deliverables, if applicable
  • File attachments
  • Optional financial line items (eg. budget, cost, expenses, expected revenue, net / gross profit, etc.)
  • Communications thread where users assigned can append messages to conversation.
  • Ensure @username tags are supported, and alert users when they're mentioned.
• Proper and easy to read dashboard upon logging in that gives overview of all opens projects / issues / messages
• Allow private messages between users
• Allow additional form / communication threads to be created within a project, outside of issues.
• Allow wiki for each team and/or project, only writeable by users who have appropriate access. Used for static / specs / reference / training materials.
• Ensure quote system, plus features for RFPs / RFCs (requests for proposals / comments), and approval / decline of all including optional voting from users with assigned status.

If any of you need a nice, quality, easy to use and intuitive project management solution for whatever you're doing, feel free to chime in with any desired features. Again, everything is completely free and open source, and I'm not looking for anything at all. I have good paying contract already anyway, so just doing what I can to turn Apex into a thriving open source initiative.

Nonetheless, will be developing out the above project management solution over the next ~10 days is all it should take. If you need something like this, but want some additional features that aren't listed above, please chime into this thread with your desires. Again, will be totally free and open source. Since I'm doing this already though, want to ensure I get all the features you guys desire.
