Hi all,
During COVID I found I had a bit more time to catch up on podcasts, youtube tutorials, blogs, news articles etc. But over a few months of lockdown in Melbourne I realised I doing the following to "store" links for later use:
And most of the time I'd forget where the links were, or would be too lazy to type out URLs from the post it notes.
As I was looking for a lite full-stack app to work , I decided to build https://getremynd.com
Basically, in any given week, you keep sending all the links you want to revisit to later@getremynd.com. You can send N emails with M links in each email.
On Saturday morning your time, you will get a consolidated digest of all the links you sent through in the previous week. See the attached image for a screenshot of what it looks like.
No log in, auth or account creation. No dramas. I can't guarantee you will have the discipline or time to go through all your links, but at least its all in one place, in a searchable email, consolidated weekly, right? :)
It's not a commercial product, and is very much an "amateurish" tool I built for fun. Just thought I'd share it in case other people found it useful.
Oh, and it's not a substitute for Instapaper/Pocket etc. Those are for long term storing and tagging. This is the step before - this gets you the list of things you intend to read, and then if you love it, store it to your app of choice!
