I'm working on Framed Texts, a service that allows you to get framed prints of your favorite text messages. I have been trying to balance quickly showing what the site is about while providing a fast way to customize and preview a product.
Please let me know what you think of it
Header is too large and takes up too much of the screen. I would also darken the color so there is more contrast with the white text.
"Framed prints of your favorite texts" is in a hard to read font and the dark background is not dark enough to give contrast. I would either extend the translucent background throughout the entire hero and darken it more.
I would not use a slider to display examples. Instead, I would use a gallery of images with the framed texts. Either that or I would embed a timeline of social media posts with people that have bought your product if you have any.
The contrast between the images of you gallery and the background is jarring. Rather than have a background, I would just extend the images to the entire screen.
Overall, I think it could be a great website if improved.
Speaking of roasting. I'll have a website up soon and would love your feedback. FYI, I'm currently developing an AI API that allows devs to build AI apps easily. I post about it and do building in public on my twitter: https://twitter.com/therealetch
And I post about it here too: https://www.indiehackers.com/product/evoke
Good luck on your website!
I love the header! I think I would question, do you think people will use this to "frame their favourite texts" as you say, or to just write a message they'd like to see in a text and maybe gift it or use to decorate? Because my first impression was "do I have to send a text from my phone to this site?" if that makes sense.
