Built my first indie project

I wanted to build something with chatGPT, we joked about astrology with friends, so I build something around it => https://www.zodiacai.net/ it sends daily horoscopes written by AI to customers.

I just wanted to build something, anything, as bad as it is. I even used these quotes when I posted this project on LinkedIn :

" I think it was in Nicomachean Ethics Aristotle was talking about how can we do the things we wish to do, like, if we want to play lute(?) we needed to play the lute, if we wanted to be courageous, we needed to do courageous things and so on. The bottom line is: If you want to do something, you have to start doing it."

and

“The man who works recognizes his own product in the world that has actually been transformed by his work. He recognizes himself in it, he sees his own human reality in it he discovers and reveals to others the objective reality of his humanity of the originally abstract and purely subjective idea he has of himself” - Alexandre Kojève, most probably in Introduction to the Reading of Hegel.

I don't really care if I get no customers, I don't even think I'll get any. I didn't do market research, I didn't do any business related thing, I just built something, learned a TON doing it, and I think that's already a great step. What do you think?

I wanted to use Stripe as payment gateway, but I couldn't because I'm living in Turkey. Luckily I had a paypal account opened when I was living in the EU. ANy suggestions on which payment gateway I can use for my next project?

For my next project, I'm thinking of building a bot.

To learn, this strategy is the best, just build build build, no fear no limits... the more ambitious you go with your project ideas, the more you will learn.

I'm on the same boat as you. building a loyalty and referral service for small offline merchants.
just wanted to build, and even thought I'll build to fail. but i just wanted to get it out there and go through that cycle at least once. all the best and kudos to you

That looks like an interesting one. I have also tried a product which has quite a few number of users but it's really getting hard to pay them. The name is Vedic AstroGPT, which uses chatGPT too.
