Are you addicted to speed?

Not that kind of speed.

The kind where you filter and mass export leads, throw them into a sequence, and hit send.

Without manually checking if they’re actually the right contact.

Take this email.

30 seconds on my profile would’ve shown that I don’t need lead optimisation and aren’t looking for lead generation.

The problem isn’t the message.
It’s the wrong person.

The way out?

Slow down.

Your list is a rare opportunity to make sure you’re reaching the right people.

Your prospect isn’t just a target on a list.
They’re a person.
Treat them like one.

Defaulting to mass emailing is wrong because it isn't always the best approach. It depends a lot on what you are selling and how many sales you need to make in order to be profitable.

A SaaS that charges 5$ for their product will need to sell a lot more than someone who offers a high end service. So for that SaaS, mass email outreach is probably the way to go for outbound marketing.

In my case, I sell the service of custom 3D visuals, I don't need to sell 100 animations a month to be profitable. If I decide to do outreach, I much prefer sending less emails but taking the time look at the business I am pitching to and see what problem I can solve for them. Less reach but more conversion.

Great point! The right approach depends on what you're selling, but even in mass outreach, relevance matters. A well-targeted, thoughtful email at scale will always outperform pure volume. Whether it’s SaaS or high-end services, the key is balance efficient yet relevant outreach. Have you tried a hybrid approach, using automation to filter the best-fit prospects before personalizing?

I haven't but I am looking into it, never opposed to trying new things. Marketing is testing at the end of the day. I am focusing on social media right now but when I have more time definitely looking to do outreach.

Marketing is all about testing. Social's a great way to build awareness and warm up prospects too. When you get to outreach, a bit of upfront filtering can go a long way. Keen to hear how it goes when you dive in!
