What’s the biggest changes in the city since then (2015)?
I haven't been around for 3 months (not working and living outside the city) and I stopped by yesterday and noticed that the men's fashions have already changed since then! Visually, the Salesforce tower is a huge change, and Moscone South has been expanded. Many local businesses in different neighborhoods have closed their doors, but new and more upscale ones have opened. China basin (south of the baseball park) has become a(n upscale) livable place. The bicycle coalition has pushed a lot of improvements to the bike lanes as well, you can start to see more and more protected lanes.
Startups-wise, the talk seems to be focused on AI, Finance, Blockchain to solve for X, HR tools, Scooters and Bicycle rentals, and AR.
